The Mekong Dawn 1 night cruise itinerary will change depending on the day of week of departure plus river and weather conditions, a sample 1 night itinerary is as below.
Day 1 / Phnom Penh – Oudong – Kampong Tralach
Your cruise begins 9:00am from your hotel where we will collect you and transfer you to the Mekong Dawn boat. Upon arrival you will be met with our Cruise Members, a warm welcome drink will be served before checked into your cabins. Once onboard the boat sets sail for a gentle cruise down the river to the ancient Cambodian capital of Oudong. We dock at Koh Chen ‘Chinese Island’ a small village of whose inhabitants specialize in silver and copper smiting. You will be transferred to the nearby Oudong Mountain, where a brisk climb takes you to one of the finest views in the Kingdom. From 1618 to 1866 this served as Cambodia’s capital city and an array of interesting stupas, tombs and memorials still remain. Return back to the boat and enjoy sundowner as the boat move forward to Kampong Tralach a local rural area with a natural beauty and you will enjoy dinner here amongst the scenic spot of Tonle Sap River.
Day 2 / Kampong Tralach – Phnom Penh
After a hearty breakfast, we will experience an Ox Cart ride – a traditional mode of transport that is still commonly used in rural areas or alternative cycling to visit Kampong Tralach Temple which was built in 1841.
We will then depart for return to Phnom Penh by air-conditioned transport while Mekong Dawn boat will continue on its journey towards Seam Reap.

Return back to Mekong Dawn after that and continue the journey toward Kampong Chhnang. Sit back to enjoy your leisure time over the magnificent water landscape, watching fishermen float by on wooden boats, waving to over-excited children on the shore. Upon arrival guests will transfer to land via smaller boat to visit the pottery village, Tuk tuks will be used to get around the villages – the perfect way to watch the stunning scenery of this province. Think emerald green paddies dotted with sugar palms, smiling children screaming ‘hello’ from the stilted wooden houses they call home. Get back to the boat after the tour to enjoy drinks as the boat moves around the scenic spot of the river before a leisurely dinner is served.
Day 3 / Kompong Chhnang – Siem Reap
Wake up for a hearty breakfast before disembark the Mekong Dawn Boat and continue the journey by air-conditioned coach toward Siem Reap and offer a glimpse into the laid-back rural life. On the way we will make a stop in Kampong Thom province for viewing an ancient bridge or coffee break if you wish and visiting Kampong Phluk floating village, lunch at a local restaurant before transfer you to your hotel
We arrive in Siem Reap to your hotel around 4:00pm where your trip end!

Day 1 / Phnom Penh – Koh Dach – Roka Kong
Your cruise begins from your hotel where we will collect you and transfer you to Mekong Dawn boat. Greeting you by our Cruise Manager and the crew members with a welcome drink and checked into your cabins. As lunch is served, the boat will start a gentle cruise towards Koh Dach, also known as Silk Island. Silk Island is a typical rural Cambodian weaving village, where the population operates hand looms under most of the houses, others dyeing and spinning silk on spinning wheels made of bicycle parts. Weaver experts will explain the weaving process in detail from silkworms to scarfs. After the excursion on Silk Island, we will return to the boat and continue the journey toward Roka Kong where the boat will anchor for the night.
Day 2 / Roka Kong – Oudong – Kampong Tralach
The boat will begin its gentle ride toward Oudong as the sun rises, but you can take your time to rise for breakfast as you feel comfortable. Sit back to enjoy your new day among the rural splendor of this very scenic spot along the river. We dock at Koh Chen ‘Chinese Island’, a small village whose inhabitants specialize in silver and copper smithing. After lunch having allowed for the hottest time of the day to pass you will be transferred to the nearby Oudong Mountain, where a brisk climb takes you to one of the finest views in the Kingdom. From 1618 to 1866 this served as Cambodia’s capital city and an array of interesting stupas, tombs and memorials remain. When back at the boat, guests will enjoy a sundowner as the boat move forward to Kampong Tralach a local rural area with a natural beauty amongst the rice paddy. We enjoy dinner here before retiring for the night.
Day 3 / Kampong Tralach – Kg Chhnang (Meals B/ L/ D)
After a hearty breakfast, we will experience an Ox Cart ride – a traditional mode of transport that is still commonly used in rural areas today to visit Kampong Tralach Temple which was built in 1841. After the visit to the temple, we return back to Mekong Dawn and continue the journey toward Kampong Chhnang This town is famous for fish farming and pottery ware. Upon arrival guests will transfer to land via a smaller boat to visit the pottery village, tuk tuks will be used to get around the villages – the perfect way to watch the stunning scenery of this province. Think emerald green paddies dotted with sugar palms, water buffaloes lazily grazing in shimmering, lotus-lined ponds, and smiling children screaming ‘hello’ from the stilted wooden houses they call home. After the tour, return back to Mekong Dawn for a leisurely evening on board with dinner and drinks served amongst the scenic spot along the river.

Your cruise begins at 9:00 am from your hotel in Siem Reap where we will collect you then transfer you by a private, air-conditioned coach to visit Kampong Phluk floating Village a popular tourist attraction located on the Tanas River which flows into Tonle Sap Lake. The Village have over 1,000 permanent residents living in Stilt wooden houses. The Villages also feature a school, a Temple, a church and a number of restaurants Primarily catering to tourists. After lunch you will be transfer to Kampong Chhnang where you will be joint Mekong Dawn Boat. The drive from Kampong Phluk to Kampong Chhnang takes around 3.5 hours and offer a glimpse into the laid-back rural life. On the way, you can view an ancient bridge in Kampong Thom Province or make stop for coffee as you wish. Upon arrival, greeted you by our cruise members. a warm welcome drink will be served before settling into your cabin while the boat starts cruising around Kampong Chhnang floating village. We will then return to the boat for a leisurely lunch while the boat navigates towards Phnom Penh where our service ends. ETA 2:00 pm.

Your cruise begins at 9.00 am from your hotel in Siem Reap where we will collect you then transfer you by a private, air-conditioned coach to Kompong Thom where upon arrival guest will jump onto the small boat for an exciting ride on Stung Sean River, leading us to the unique Chnouk Tru floating village, which sits on the expansive Tonle Sap Lake renowned for the fishing communities that live their life on the water, with floating schools, temples and homes aplenty. From there you will join the Mekong Dawn boat, where you are greeted by our Cruise members with a welcome drink before settling into the sumptuous cabin. Wake up to a spread of local and continental cuisine, joined by the stunning backdrop of the sunrise along the river, while the boat cruising towards Koh Dach also known as Silk Island.
